Born in KY, Carolyn grew up in Sarasota, then participating in her family’s business, a private boarding school, “Flint School aboard teVega and teQuest”.   The two schooners sailed to various parts of the world for unique on-site learning experiences.

Carolyn began breeding and showing Dalmatians in the 1980s.  Then expanding her knowledge and skill with purebred show dogs, she spent 18 years working with a professional dog show handler until she retired.

Her interest in canine reproduction was sparked while working with Dr. Neutzling on her own dog’s breeding in 1990.

Early in 1995, Carolyn began working as a private contractor to Seager Canine Semen Bank which had just moved from Illinois to Sarasota, FL.

In her off-time, she concentrated on research and innovation of improved processes for semen handling and freezing, then began freezing using her own pelleted method in 2002.   She also established her own brand of semen extenders and freezing mediums.

In late 2007, Carolyn founded Time Shifters Canine Semen Bank. She then relocated to West Coast Veterinary Center and established on-site frozen semen storage in December of 2008.

At West Coast Veterinary Center, Carolyn enjoys being part of the repro team and learning from other West Coast staff.  Her interests expanded to include TCI, neonatal care, freezing in straws and more.

Carolyn has a strong interest in energy medicine.  When not at the clinic she enjoys fire ceremonies, energy work, and spending time with friends, family and her Dalmatian, Summer.
